Yes. Our standard polyamide-housed connectors are not suitable for continuous exposure to concentrated sulfuric acid, hot caustic soda, or environments exceeding 125°C ambient temperature. For applications in explosive atmospheres, only our ATEX/IECEx certified product range should be specified — standard catalog items are not rated for Zone 1 or Zone 2 use. Additionally, published current ratings assume 20°C ambient; at elevated temperatures, derating applies (consult product datasheets for derating curves). We always recommend a technical review with our engineering team before specifying connectors for extreme chemical, thermal, or hazardous environments.
