About Hubbell

Our Story

Hubbell was founded in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by a team of electrical engineers who had spent years working inside panel shops and EPC firms. They understood a frustration shared by procurement teams worldwide: industrial connector catalogs were dense, delivery times were unpredictable, and technical support was hard to reach.

"We wanted to build the kind of connector company we wished existed when we were the ones specifying products — one that answered the phone, shipped fast, and helped you pick the right part the first time."

In our first year, we served 14 customers from a single warehouse in Milwaukee. Today, Hubbell products reach 55 countries through three distribution hubs and a network of regional partners. We have grown by keeping the same promise: expert guidance, reliable products, and fast delivery.

Our engineering team includes specialists in IP-rated connector design, high-current terminal block development, and marine-grade cable management. Many hold PE (Professional Engineer) licenses and participate in IEC and UL standards working groups, ensuring our products reflect the latest regulatory requirements.

Key Milestones

2004 — Founded in Milwaukee, WI with 6 employees and a 5,000 sq ft warehouse serving 14 initial customers in the Midwest manufacturing sector.
2008 — Launched DIN rail terminal block product line rated up to 600V / 175A, expanding from connectors into panel wiring accessories.
2011 — Opened European distribution center in Dusseldorf, Germany, reducing delivery time to EU customers from 14 days to 3 business days.
2014 — Achieved ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification across all manufacturing and warehousing operations.
2017 — Established Asia-Pacific hub in Shanghai, China; annual production capacity exceeded 8 million units for the first time.
2020 — Obtained ATEX and IECEx certification for explosion-proof cable gland product line, entering the oil and gas vertical.
2023 — Reached 12 million annual unit capacity; team grew to 480 employees across three continents.
